Tasks are used for actionable work items that someone needs to complete, monitor, or follow up.
Create a task
- Open Tasks.
- Select New Task.
- Enter the title and description.
- Link the task to a household or specific household member when relevant.
- Set priority and due date.
- Assign the task to a user if responsibility is clear.
- Add watchers for people who need visibility but are not the assignee.
- Save the record.
Status behavior
Tasks can move through Pending, In Progress, Completed, and Cancelled. When a task is marked completed, the system records the completion timestamp automatically.
When to use watchers
Watchers are useful when a principal assistant, household manager, or backup coordinator needs visibility into progress without becoming the direct assignee.
Personal tasks
Use Only for me for private planning or tasks that should not be shared through household visibility rules.
Recurring follow-up
Task reminders support one-time or recurring schedules. If Stop when completed is enabled, the reminder will end automatically when the task is completed or cancelled.
